Rodent 3D Multisensory Motion Simulator

This novel and unique system was developed by Dr. Adam Zaidel, the head of the Multisensory Processing Laboratory, and custom-built for his lab. Independent control of the system’s two robotic arms simulates self-motion with either vestibular (inertial motion) cues, visual motion cues or a combination thereof.  Simultaneous neuronal recording from awake behaving animals probes the neural bases of multisensory processing, spatial perception and perceptual decision-making.
