MSc in Brain and Data Science at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland

The double MSc in Brain and Data Science is a unique international Master's degree in collaboration between the Gonda Multidisciplinary Brain Research Center and the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, Faculty of Education and Psychology

The program combines neuroscience and data science. The students will spend the first year of studies at the BIU gaining a solid basis in neuroscience and neuroscience-oriented data science. For the second year, students will go to the VUA and work on a research thesis involving applying data science methods to analysis of brain derived data and taking elective courses.

The program is taught in English, graduates receive a degree certificate from both institutions.

 

Admission criteria: The program is interdisciplinary and accepts candidates according to the admission requirements for the Master's degree at the Brain Research Center. The interdisciplinary Brain Research Center accepts candidates from all fields of exact sciences, psychology, and more. Acceptance to Data Science track depends on the students' success in their first-year courses.
