Course goals

The course will provide students with theoretical knowledge on advanced topics in brain and cognition research (Cognitive Neuroscience)

 

 

Course content:

The course is comprised of a series of frontal lectures on the following topics:

 

  • History of Cognitive Neuroscience
  • Review of human research methodologies
  • Main principles and mechanisms of the brain function (e.g. localization)
  • External (sensory) information processing will be discussed on an example of face processing
  • Internal and spontaneous information processing

Submitting a written course work

 

Final grade:

50% - active participation in the classes

50% - written course work
